Keely's 8th birthday is next Saturday. We have everything ready for her bowling party on Friday. Keely and I had mommy/daughter day today to get Keely's ears pierced and do some shopping. We went to Claire's where she sat in the chair in the front window for everyone to see as they passed by in the mall on a Saturday night. She was a little nervous, but soooo excited! Keely picked out some very cute rainbow colored crystal daisy earrings for her first pierced earrings. Two girls shot the earrings into both ears at the same time. She said, "ow." and it was over. Her ears turned bright purple as we finished our shopping and enjoyed a lemonade together. They look great now. She keeps washing her hands and touching them (they told her not to touch them unless she washes first). She's growing up so fast! She has said about 4 times today, "I feel so grown up!" It's a little sad, but I love having my girl to do girl things with. She's finally to an age where we can really go and have some fun together. I hope it lasts!!
